PLOT

Omi Khurrana (Kunal Kapoor) is based in London, and his dreams of making it big have just ended. Moreover, he has taken a huge amount from a London gangster and is now fleeing from him. He decides to go back to his hometown in Punjab. He observes that a lot has changed since he left this place. He also comes to know that his grandfather is very sick. He also comes to know the pathetic condition of his grandfather’s restaurant that once was a famous hub for Lip-smacking dishes. He also meets his childhood crush Harman (Huma Qureshi) who is already engaged to Omi’s cousin. Later he finds about a secret chicken recipe known as “Chicken Khurana.” He thus embarks on a mission to restore his grandfather’s restaurant and works with Harman on it. His grandfather too passes away and then all the work goes down to Omi. Harman and Omi develop feelings for each other while working for the restaurant and, later on, it is discovered that the female protagonist is already is married and has a child. Thus, they settle with each other. In the conclusion the gangster from London follows him up here too and is a friend of Titu.

ANALYSIS

Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana is a spicy affair involving complex ingredients mixed simply and served hot and fresh to the viewers. The only drawback is that the screenplay is too fast. The cinematography is quite decorative and fine which also goes with the essence of the movie. Also, the movie has certain ups and downs that are unable to keep the energy and hence, in turn, the enthusiasm in the movie. Also, the unfinished conclusion should have been rectified, but it hits and misses.

STAR PERFORMANCES

Huma Qureshi and Kunal Kapoor look quite a couple, and their chemistry too blends well. One thing about Huma Qureshi that pleases you is the spontaneous flow of excitement she has and her quick and able adaptation to her role. Kunal Kapoor gives quite a nice performance that also resembles his past performance in “ Rang De Basanti Click to look into! >> Read More... ”.

WHAT’S THERE?

• Nice story and a satisfactory screenplay.
• Comic situations are created just at perfect times.
• Nice acts from Qureshi and Kapoor.

WHAT’S NOT THERE?

• A constant energy is not observed in few of the scenes which are a pain to watch.
• An unfinished conclusion.
• Kunal sometimes looks perturbed in his acting.

VERDICT

All you chicken lovers out there this movie would please you if you live to eat. With a nice storyline and some couple of romantic scenes thrown in this movie is a treat not to be missed and to be relished once.
