PLOT

Midsummer Midnight Mumbai starts with a young man entering Police Station and reporting his own death to the police inspector. Disturbed and confused by this, Inspector investigates and finds out that the man was actually telling the truth. Now this starts to become an interesting event when suddenly an inevitable love triangle starts to form which reveals something really thrilling and diabolical.

ANALYSIS

I don’t know what happens to such movies that could have fared way better regarding plot and storyline and then fall flat and fizz out in thin air. Midsummer Midnight Mumbai exactly that kind of movie. The movie kicks off with a thrill A supposedly paranormal looking case in which a man reports his own murder leaving the police department clueless is something every thriller lover would have enjoyed. But right there the movie takes a sudden foolish turn into some love triangle affair that sees our man gets caught amidst two women. What a disappointment? The movie that started out well suddenly changes its genre into a love triangle and all the thrill vanishes from that point. After that, it's only one thing left in this movie for the viewer to experience, confusion. The director has not even left a trail from start to match with the confusing conclusion. This movie disappoints in every department.

STAR PERFORMANCES

None in particular except the police officer’s acting that looks a little comical sometimes; it momentarily adds to this blind movie with a thriller start. The movie loses track after the interval.

• Thrilling start that makes you feels excited
• Police Department (pun intended).

WHAT’S NOT THERE?

• The poor direction which makes this movie sink into the depths of flops.
• Unsatisfying acts from the leading actors and actresses.
• A confusing conclusion that has no connection with the beginning.

VERDICT

This movie was built on a solid, thrilling start, but as the movie progresses, we get to something else which is so different from the movie’s script. In my opinion, please avoid this movie as it has got no experienced nor brilliant acts.
