Mukthi Bhawan is the recent Hindi film that has hit the screens. Now what is unusual about this flick? Read further to know.

Plot

Daya gets a feeling that he is nearing death. He is 77 year old. He wants to pass away at Mukthi Bhawan in Benaras. His father had also passed away at this place. Well, his son Rajiv is an office employee who is trying hard to meet his deadlines. There is also the forthcoming marriage of his daughter. But again, as obedient as he is, Rajiv must close all his works and accompany his father to Mukthi Bhawan. Rajiv goes along with his father to Mukthi Bhawan. Well what is Mukthi Bhawan? It temporarily houses the senior people who feel that they will pass away soon. The son and father live in a room that is near the Ganga Ghat. Rajiv is a rational person while Daya is a person having conservative ideas.Now watch the movie to know how it proceeds.

Analysis

The subject of Mukthi Bhawan is somewhat strange and the challenge lies on the filmmaker to give it in such a way that the audience can accept. Director Shubhashish Bhutiani, who is aged 24, has debuted with Mukthi Bhawan and has succeeded in giving a shade of humour to the story which is in other means is somewhat distressing. Bhutiani has also written the story of the film. He has seemed to give a normalized execution for the viewers who would be other hesitant to watch the film. Generally, people don’t take such concepts but the director differs from that. He has made a bold initiative in talking about the not-desired yet inescapable part of life which is death.
