CAST & CREW
Ashok Kheny directed the romantic comedy film, ‘ Prem Kaa Game’, which was released on 26th March, 2010. Written by Abbas Hirapurwala, the movie is produced by Ashok Kheny himself. The film is a satire on the effects of marriage. The film features the Khan brothers in the lead roles. The female lead roles are played by Tara Sharma and Malaika Arora Khan. Madhuri Bhattacharya also supports in the making. The music was composed by Raju Singh. This project was initially supposed to be directed by Indrajit Lankesh, but differences between the crew and cast caused Ashok Kheny to takeover.
Khan Brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Salman Khan, are featured in the lead role. Salman Khan as Jaggu, narrates the story of Prem Sahni, played by Arbaaz Khan. UK origin, Tara Sharma as Sheetal Sahni, plays the role of Prem’s wife. Madhuri Bhattacharya is Twinkle, in the role of a young model. Malaika Arora is The Dream Girl. Johnny Lever is in a comedy role as Ramnik Chedda. The film has been distributed by A.K. Entertainments Ltd.
Prem meets Sheetal at a jewelry shop where he accidentally puts on Sheetal’s ring. It gets stuck on his finger, and he is unable to remove it. Sheetal, played by Tara Sharma, is desperate for the ring. Prem suggests that she make her husband have the ring. The two fall in love with each other while getting the ring off his finger, and get married.
Seven years down the lane, Prem has a daughter and is happily living with his family. Although, he is not happy with his wife now. She always doubts him for his loyalty. Prem, on the other hand, wants to be a bachelor again. His wife, and daughter, Pinky, plan to attend a relative’s marriage. When the two are out, Prem realizes the opportunity to enjoy. He meets a young model, Twinkle Chopra, played by Madhuri Bhattacharya. She has just shifted next door. In a run of events, Prem keeps meeting Twinkle and is attracted to her.
The rest of the film is how Twinkle and Sheetal throw upon Prem’s antics. Salman Khan has tried adding humor to this humorless film, although Johnny Lever and Razak Khan have led the comic scenes. The film massively failed. The movie also featured real life wife-and-husband, Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora Khan, for the first time on big screen. Adding more trouble to the movie was that it released during the IPL season without any promotion. No one knew a film like this was releasing.
None of you would want to waste time watching this movie. Even Salman Khan’s presence could not make a difference. The film received just one and a half star.
