Raja Abroadiya is a romantic comedy entertainer scripted by Mani Manjinder Singh and Lakhwinder Shabla. Besides co-scripting, Lakhwinder Shabla directed the film too. He also produced the film under the banner Shabla Films. The film features Robin Sohi, Vaishnavi Patwardhan, Abhishek Singh Pathania, Olga Hoffmann, Alankrita Bora, Vaishnavi Macdonald and Yograj Singh. Jazim Sharma and Mukhtar Sahota compose the music and Ishaan Sharma cranked the camera. Bir Singh edited the film.

Plot

Raja, a rich guy in the village is quite happy with his status. But, his ego is shattered by a drunkard in the village, whose son worked in a foreign country and married a foreigner. So, Raja decided to go abroad and marry a white lady and win the challenge by the drunkard. Similarly, Preety, who wants to go abroad to improve her financial status is searching for the right opportunity. When both of them meet, they shared their stories and decided to accompany each other in achieving each other’s goal. Did they achieve their goal? What are the problems they faced to reach their goals?

Star Performance

Yograj Singh, who plays the wealthy father, had done his best. His role Succha Singh is a complete one without any flaws. Robin and Vaishnavi had played their part fairly.

Analysis

Although the story seems to be a bit funny, the director didn’t execute it properly. They had concentrated on imitating the costumes of “ Govinda” from Raja Babu. However, it doesn’t create any impression. The director had concentrated only on the Punjabi style and hence the film falls flat.

What’s There?

  • Performance of Yograj

What’s Not There?

  • Cinematography and editing are not impressive
  • Narration needs expertise
  • Illogical scenes
  • Music didn’t attract

Verdict

With some illogical scenes and a lot of setbacks on the technical side, the film fails to impress. Raja Abroadiya is not a Must Watch film.
