Review for the film " Veer"
Runtime: 2 Hours 44 Minutes
Certificate: UA
Released: 22-01-2010
Genre: Epic
2.75 / 5.0

The story is about a Pindari prince ( Salman Khan), who wishes to walk in the footsteps of his father, by freeing India from the British Colonial power, but Gyanendra Singh ( Jackie Shroff) king of Madhavgarh, opposes them. Due to this Pindaris kidnaps his daughter (Zahreen Khan), where in the meantime Salman and Zahreen fall in love. So, will they be able to keep their bond of love strong enough to survive through the family rivals?

Star Performances:

Salman, who knows the tastes of the masses, shows different areas of expression as romance, action, and drama with conviction. He even flaunts his body.
Zarine moves around the movie with a single expression while Mithun and Jackie are pretty ok.

The movie is full of action, romance, and thrill as all other Salman’s movies. The movie will appeal to the fans of Salman Khan. Salman has handled penning the story of the film but fails to impress in this department.

What’s there?

  • The visuals of Rajasthan are stunning and great.
  • The character of Salman is etched well.
  • It's one of the best music composition of Sajid-Wajid duo.

What’s not there?

  • The character of Zahreen Khan could have been more appealing.
  • The movie fails to impress us in the second half.
  • The music is absolutely good. However, there are several songs that the movie seems to drag and ultimately tests your patience.

The movie is just one-time watch.
