The depiction of a new aged woman, a divorcee mother falling in love with a younger aged man fighting the societal oppression, and the complications of a single woman handling her family and life is the crux of the film. The storyline may be typical television drama, but a few pleasing scenes from a debutant director can be appreciable.

Plot:

Simi ( Deepshikha Nagpal Deepshika Nagpal was born on 2 September 1977 in P >> Read More... ) a 35 years divorcee, mother of two kids, lives her life as a successful single woman and choreographer dealing with her family life while secretly longing for company. Her family, like all stereotypical Indian families, advice her to find another man and get settled. While on a trip with friends of dancing academy, Nikki and Bobby (played by Chitrasi Rawat and Delnaz Paul), she meets Raj (Kaishav Arora), who is a young model. Kaishav mesmerised with Deepshikha follows her to the city and enrolls in  her dancing academy and manages to win her confidence by befriending her children and later her. Friendship follows love, followed by intimacy and the unannounced entry of Raj’s mother, Kunika. Raj distances himself from Simi on his mother’s advice as the society would never accept this. Added to this there’s come back of Simi’s husband Aditya ( Inder Kumar Inder Kumar is an Indian actor known for his roles >> Read More... ) who wants her back in his life. Finally, what does Simi do?? Whom does she choose?? What is the outcome of her difficult life as a single divorcee woman??

Star Performances and Analysis:

The directorial debut of Deepshikha Nagpal is well appreciated. She is a good performer while all her counterparts need much of acting class. Kaishav Arora has no appeal to be a hero except for his muscled body. The smaller fillers like friends and children do justice to the short stretch. Kunika as Raj’s mother is in a short yet impactful scene. Ayub Khan Ayub Khan is a famous Indian Film and TV actor who >> Read More... in a cameo is just a waste. The music is fine. The screenplay could have been more realistic in context to rest of the cast. There is sometimes overdue of Deepshikha’s dwelling onto the screen. Rest of the cast does not play well. Editing does not seem to be a concerning factor for the crew.

What’s There?

1. Deepshikha definitely remains successful in reinstating the fact that the society does not till date look at woman’s need as same as that of a man. There are dialogues that hit the bull’s eyes.
2. Deepshikha’s acting and direction are pleasing at some parts.

What’s not there?

1. A lot could have been achieved with rest of the cast giving a better shot.
2. The story has a repetitive idea which keeps it on a rather sluggish track.
3. The appeal is lost onto the screenplay and bad editing.

Verdict:

The movie may not do good as it is a melodrama of a woman imposing the same old rights and approach propaganda. The smaller audience of typical Indian daily soap series may like to watch a movie with this plot.
