Star Performance

All the stars have played quite well and the child artist Manohara won the National Award for the Best Child Artist and also the Kannada State Award for the Best Male Child Artist.

Analysis

Amidst the racy commercial entertainers, Railway Children is a different film. The film has a lot of social message in it with a nonpreachy manner. The movie reveals the hardships faced by the runaway children and how they are forced to involve in the illegal activities. The children, who watch these kinds of films, will never think about getting out of the house when they have a tiff with their parents.

What’s There?

  • Performance of the lead stars
  • Good script and fantastic narration
  • Conveying the message in a non-preachy way

 What’s Not There?

  • A bit slow moving

Verdict

If you are a commercial movie lover, then this film is not for you. If you want to watch a film in a new genre, then this film might impress you. However, Railway Children is a good movie with good life values.
