“ Rajaratha” is a romantic comedy entertainer that is scripted and directed by Anup Bhandari. Besides scripting and directing, Anup has composed the songs too. The BGM is by “B. Ajaneesh Loknath.” Nirup Bhandari and Anup Bhandari play the lead roles. “ Arya,” the Tamil actor makes his debut in Sandalwood with Rajaratha. Sruthi Hariharan, Vinaya Prasad and P Ravishankar play pivotal roles in the film. William David cranked the camera. Ajay Reddy, Vishu Dakappagari, Anju Vallabh and Sathish Sastry produced the film. Puneeth Rajkumar has lent his voice to an important role.
Abhi and Megha are the college mates. They are traveling to Chennai in Rajaratha, a bus. Along with these two youngsters, there are a lot of characters traveling on the bus. Vishwa, a young rebel leader, who was assigned a task by his senior, was also traveling with them. What is Vishwa’s task? Did he complete it? Is there any connection between Vishwa, Abhi and Megha? Watch the film to get the answers.
Nirup’s performance is excellent and he has improvised his style a lot from that of “ RangiTaranga.” Avantika has done an excellent job. Vinaya and Ravishankar had fit in the roles perfectly. Last but not the least… Arya! Arya is the real show stealer. He has emoted excellently well. Puneeth’s voice over is the top notch. Yes, it has attracted a lot of people to the theaters.
When the people expected that it would be a mystery thriller, the rom-com film impressed the viewers in no time. Anup Bhandari’s script, Puneeth’s voice over, the technical crew’s hard work and above all the performance of the stars earns the stars for its success. Editing and cinematography need a special mention.
What’s Not There?
It is a rom-com entertainer with its own minor flaws. However, this film is not like the regular masala movies but impresses all the class audiences with its stars and story. Watch the film in theaters and you will feel that it is worth for the money spent.
