CAST & CREW
Am I exaggerating when I say that horror films are ruling the roost nowadays? To an extent, yes. Romcoms always manage to impress the audiences, but nowadays the horror movies also pull the movie-goers to the screen. Shivalinga and Kathatha Chitrakathe Nirdeshana Puttana have already entertained the audiences, and now Tha (which is shortly called for Thappu) has hit the screens. Let’s see what this movie does to our minds.
Three buddies (one cannot speak, one cannot see, and one cannot talk) are in need of money, and they stay in a haunted house. How do these three manage to interact with the ghosts? Watch the movie to know.
The plot of the film is the real protagonist; it is so interesting. Vinod, who is the offspring of the film’s producer Muniratnam, plays one of the leads while Krishna and Deepak are the other two guys. Bindu Barbie essays the role of a newly married woman who eventually gets entrapped. All the actors have done a pretty good job. Roja also has an interesting role in the movie. Watch it to find out!
What’s not there?
The Kannada audience may have an overdose of horror films since already two horror movies were released this year. However, this is just a minor flaw.
This low-budget movie is produced by Munirathnam, who had a long dream of producing a Sandalwood movie. Though the movie is sprinkled with comedy, director Giridhar P, who is debuting with this movie, takes the serious route post interval.
Tha will garner the interest of the audience due to its uniqueness. Worth watching once!
