Plot: As the title suggests, the movie revolves around Thandava. An ancient dance performed by Lord Shiva. Mostly, this was performed by him when he was livid or in anguish. The story of this movie yields the same. It is a story of a common man trying to make both ends meet. Thandava, being the dance of destruction symbolizes the individual’s quest for surviving the struggles faced by him and his family. The story portrays the family members and their fight with the daily evils and how the hurdles are crossed by them. A few references to the ancient mythological characters of Lord Shiva are also made and happen to fit right in the puzzle making it a good plot.

Analysis: Thandava is a family entertainer and with that being said, it almost leaves no scope in question to discuss further. The struggle of an individual along with his family to overcome hurdles and obstacles in life is beautifully depicted here. With major references to many other Kannada Movie, the movie yet makes a strong impact on the audiences.

The movie also pertains to modern Thandava every common man has to do in order to destroy daily evils faced by him and his family. Thandava, known as the dance of destruction, aptly signifies the title and makes the movie a treat to watch.

Star performances: The movies stars Vasanth as the protagonist and in the lead role. Being a newbie, he has pulled out the role brilliantly and looks promising for future endeavors. He is judiciously assisted by Chandini, Dharma and Ashwini. Swathi Ambarish, who plays another lead, is a treat to watch along with Gareema Sing. Overall the actors have made their mark with their performances and indeed look promising for upcoming projects.
