Eeda” is scripted and directed by “ B Ajith Kumar.” The film is produced by Sharmila Raaja under the banner Collective Phase One Delta Studio. John P. Varkey and Chandran Veyattummal composed the songs and the background score. Pappu cranked the camera and Ajith, the director edited the film. The film is an adaption of Shakespeare’s Romeo And Juliet. The film features Shane Nigam and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles. Besides the lead roles, the film has Surabhi Lakshmi, Sujith Sankar, Sudhi Koppa, Alancier Ley Lopez, Manikandan Achari, “P Balachandran,” Abu Valayamulam, Shelly Kishore, Rajesh Sharma, Sunitha, Babu Annoor and Vijayan Karanthoor in the star cast.

Plot

Anand and Aishwarya are from the families of the rival political parties. Anand is an employee of an Insurance company in Mysore and Aishwarya has been graduating in Mysore. Both of them fell in love with each other. What happens when they come to know that they belong to the rival parties and their families couldn’t accept their love? Watch the film in theaters.

Star Performance

Shane Nigam has performed extremely well and his Kannur Slang is impressive too. Although Nimisha is not too good as Shane, she has given a decent performance. The rest of the stars including Manikandan, Alencier Ley Lopez, Sudhi Koppa, Surabhi Lakshmi, Sujith Sankar and Shelly Kishore have performed well in the limited roles given.

Analysis

The debutant director has designed the scenes well. The romantic scenes in the first half are impressive. The chain of scenes that didn’t skip from the main script attracts the audiences. Good effort by Ajithkumar in his first attempt and he succeeds in it.

What’s There?

  • Script, screenplay and the narration are impressive
  • Performance of Shane needs a special mention
  • Cinematography is excellent

What’s Not There?

  • The action sequences are not attractive

Verdict

Eeda has a good script, performance, cinematography and execution. The film has its own flaws, but manages to keep the audiences glued to the seats! Eeda – success!
