Georgettan’s Pooram is helmed by K Biju, and Dileep takes the main role in this movie. Dileep is seen in the main screen after a short gap. Let’s see whether the movie manages to impress us.
George Vadakkan is a happy-go-lucky guy who is the son of a priest and lives in Thrissur. The father wants his son to take forward his legacy. But on the contrary George just whiles away his time with his friends. They spend a lot of time in Mathayi Parambu, which is a playground donated by a sportsman. They spend their time in this playground which in in their neighborhood. What is the role of the park in giving a turning point in the life of George? Watch the movie to know.
Dileep is comfortable with the Thrissur dialect. He also has done a good job in the serious scenes. For a change, Dileep hasn’t relied on over-the-top humor to a great extent. Vinay Forrt, who essays the role of Dileep’s friend, has done his job well. Sharafudheen is average in his role. Chemban Vinod ha proved his mettle in donning the kind of roles like the one that he is essaying in this film. Rajisha, who has earlier won the State Award for her first film, gives a commendable performance. T G Ravi has an important role in the film and he does it with utter conviction.
K Biju, the director of the flick, has attempted to give a good film but more care could have been given to the story.
• The second of the flick progresses at a commendable pace.
• Gopi Sunder’s music gels well with the tempo of the movie to some extent.
• Cinematography by Vinod Illampily complements the genre of the flick.

The movie has dearth of quality humor.
More care could have been taken for the dialogues of the flick.

The film fails to meet one’s expectations in terms of comedy. However, one can watch it for the second half.
