“Karinkannan” story is penned by Sathish Babu and the screenplay is by Thabu Ghosh and directed by Pappan Narippata. The film has the star cast of Saju Navodaya, “K R Vijaya,” “ Vijayaraghavan,” “ Seema G Nair” and Sasi Kalinga. Mohan Sithara composes the music

Karinkannan Dasan lives with his family in a village, where people follow a lot of superstitions. The village people treat Karinkannan as a bad omen and they believe his presence will destruct things. How he fights against the negative thoughts of the people and succeed in his life is the rest of the story.

Star Performance

Saju has performed well and he fits the role perfectly. KR Vijaya, Vijayaraghavan and the rest of the cast had done justice to their roles.

The director has come with a different story. Although it is a different story, we couldn’t appreciate it, as the story seems to justify the superstitions. The screenplay gets derailed from the story often. At times, it brings us a feeling that we are watching a TV drama. While the screenplay steps down and brings a comedy tone to the film, the music too supports it.

What’s There?

  • The performance of the stars is appreciable

What’s Not There?

  • The screenplay gets derailed often
  • Predictable scenes and dialogues
  • BGM is not impressive

For the people, who just want to have a comedy show, this might be a good one. But, people who concentrate on the script and screenplay, will think twice to watch this!
