Plot

Joy Thakkolkkaran is an optimistic man, who wants to try something new in his business. Joy’s wife is no more and he quits his political career too. His Agarbatti business fails to give him profits and so, he is at the dead end of his career. As nothing in his life is positive, Joy wants to start a new business, to set all his negatives to positive. With his friends Greenu, Abhayakumar and Peer Thanesh, Joy starts doing a new business with elephant urine. Joy and co, start a company named Punyalan Private Limited to promote their new business. Did they succeed in their business? Watch the film in theaters.

Star Performance

As usual, Jayasurya plays a hilarious hero and steals the show. Aju and Sreejith Ravi, Dharmajan have done their part pretty well. All the other supporting stars have played well in the given characters.

Analysis

Ranjit Sankar has come with his usual comedy script. But, this time, the film has touched the social issues including the social media posts, religious issues, national anthem controversy and also the demonetization controversy. Those issues are not dealt separately but as the simple and sharp dialogues.

What’s There?

Performance of the stars is the biggest plus
Social message conveyed through sharp yet straightforward dialogues
Ranjith’s execution is neat and good
Songs are good and the BGM gels with the situations

What’s Not There?

Some exaggerations make the film a bit dramatic

Verdict

Jayasurya and his team make the people laugh and think with their comedy cum social message oriented drama. Punyalan Private Limited is worth watching for its hilarious script and performances of the stars.
