Plot: Chennai Ungalai Anbudan Varaverkirathu is the film that is a combination of five stories. Debutante director Maruthu Pandiyan tries to bring out the lives of the people who come to Chennai with some ambitions and how they work hard to aim at it. Bobby Simha, Prabanjayyan, Linga, Saranya, Panimalar, and Nisha are in the cast Chennai Ungalai Anbudan Varaverkirathu.

Chellapandiyan is a film director who loves to achieve something high in his life. He changes his stay place frequently due to the disturbance caused by his friend Prabanjeyan, who tries to be an assistant director, but jobless. Praba depends on Chellapandiyan and he could not share his income with Praba, as it is not enough for him. Karthik is a software guy, who is friends with Chellapandiyan, uses Chellapandiyan’s room for his illegal activities with the girls. He even denies visiting his mother, who is affected by Heart attack; instead prefers to spend his time with a girl. Prabanjeyan’s nephew from the village, asks him to buy a bicycle and come to the village; but Praba could not afford a bicycle and hence he did not go to his village.

The story moves on like this, without any particular theme. It shows what all happens in and around Chennai and what kinds of people are living there. Everyone who comes to Chennai, did not get success, instead learns some lessons for their lifetime.

Bobby Simha, who plays the role of Chellapandiyan performs in a mind blowing way. His performance shows that he is the real National Award Winner. Linga, who performs as Karthik did justice to the role which he had undertaken. This film, technically receives a setback, as it is a low budget movie. Director Alphonse Putharen, who is the director of the bilingual hit Neram, is also in this movie, performing as Bobby’s friend. Maruthu Pandiyan, the director of his movie, also had performed a role. Chennai Ungalai Anbudan Varaverkiradhu is a watchable movie and the people who settled in Chennai understand the story deeply, as they have suffered similar problems.
