Plot: Iridiyam is the film that tries to clear the superstitious belief of the people. Iridium is present in the temple Kalasams, so that the thunder and lightning will not affect the building and it safeguards the people. There is a superstitious belief that Iridium has the capacity to pull the rice thrown around it. This film is to help the people know about the iridium and to throw out their false beliefs.

The story travels to a village near Tanjore, where the people are misguided that the Iridium is present in the Kalasams and if it is sold out, it will give a handsome amount of money. Many people start to evade the village for the Iridium. A wealthy family in that village utilizes this opportunity and cheats the people who come there for iridium.

A young man in the family has the capacity to attract people through his eyes. He has the capacity to mesmerize the girls and also he makes the rice to get pulled by his magnetic look. With this magnificent power, he calls upon the big shots in the next villages and mesmerized them with his magnetic eyesight and also makes them to commit suicide. Mohan Kumar had a lady love when he was at his college. Aaruchi is his lover and she accepts his love and tells him that she has a longtime ambition to work in the foreign country.

Mohan Kumar helps her to get her passport to move abroad for her job. Whether she went abroad or not? Whether Mohan Kumar found out the cheating group or not is the rest of the story.

Mohan Kumar suits well for the role of Police inspector. Aaruchi is so cute and she performs well too. As the story is a serious kind, the director has inserted Power star Srinivasan, Kumki Ashwin, Yogi Babu Yogi Babu is one of the famous actors in Indian fi >> Read More... and Madhumitha in the story. Yogi Babu gets applause from the audiences for his comedy dialogues.

The director Sai Mugunthan has tried a good story to make the people to cut their superstitious beliefs and trust the science. This movie can be watched once for its different story.
