Irudhi Suttru has been in the news for quite some time also due to the makeover of R Madhavan. And this directorial venture of Sudha Kongara Prasad, was filmed in Tamil and Hindi simultaneously and has hit the screens today. Well, let’s see how the movie has turned out to be.

Plot

Madhavan is a boxing tutor in Sikar, a city based in Rajasthan. He is hailed as the topnotch coach of boxing throughout the country. But unfortunately, Madhavan is being sacked for a fake allegation of sexual harassment which eventually leads him to Chennai. How Madhavan defies the odds and molds a boxing expert from Chennai forms the rest of the story.

Star Performances

The best test for an artist is to excel himself/herself from him/her previous ventures. And surely Madhavan has bounced back with a determination to succeed. His earnestness is seen in every frame of the movie. Madhavan has done an outstanding job as a boxer, and this is one of his best performances to date. He has dared to take a different role and appears with a rugged look. And yes, he does his role with conviction. Debutante Ritika Singh, who is a kickboxer in real life, is a good find, and you will wonder whether she is new to acting. The chemistry between Madhavan and Rithika, which is devoid of romance, is something rare in Kollywood. And this has come out well in the movie. Seasoned actors like Radharavi and Nasser do their parts well while Kaali Venkat excels in comedy.
