Plot:
Kadhal Ilavasam
is a usual love
story which is shot in a different way.
Jasmitha is a college student,
who comes from Mumbai and joins in the first year course. Ganesh is studying a third
year degree in the same college. Ganesh lives with his grandmother as he lost
his parents in an early age. All his friends are characterized as bad guys who
have all the bad habits like smoking, drinking and drug addiction. But Ganesh
is a decent guy, who advises his friends to stop the bad habits. He starts to
love Jasmitha from the first sight. He tries to propose his love to her; but
fails in many attempts. In the mean time, a student who is the son of a
politician depicts Jasmitha vulgarly. On hearing this news, Ganesh fight with
the politician’s son. On seeing this Jasmitha understands his love on her; but
rejects his proposal as a lover. She tells Ganesh that they can be good
friends; Ganesh accepts that and move with her freely. At a certain stage,
Jashmitha starts to love Ganesh. Though she knows that Ganesh sincerely loves
her, she feels that she is cheating him. Actually Jasmitha is a prostitute and
that is the reason why she could not accept Ganesh’s love, first.
Jasmitha asks about this to her
mother and her mother says that all the men are same; they do not love the
women truly. On hearing his mother’s words Jasmitha gets confused. Yet she
wants to test Ganesh and Ganesh passes her test. Will she reveal the truth that
she is a prostitute? Will Ganesh accepts her or not is the rest of the story.
Ganesh has performed in an
average. Jasmitha has boldly taken the prostitute character and performed it.
All the other characters in the movie forget to give a good impression. The
director must have taken better actors to perform in the weighty roles. The
role of Jasmitha resembles that of Madhumitha in the movie Arai En 305 IL
Kadavul; but Madhumitha has performed extraordinarily well than Jasmitha.
Kadhal Ilavasam…. Not impressive!
