MORE CAST & CREW

Krishnam is scripted by PN Balaram and directed by Dinesh Baboo. The film is bankrolled by PN Balaram under PNB Cinemas. Akshay Krishnan, Ashwarya Ullas, “ Saikumar,” Shanthi Krishna, Renji Panicker, VK Prakash, “Mukundan” and Anjali Nair are in the star cast. Hari Prasad composed the songs and Dileep Singh scores the Background music. Dinesh Baboo is the cinematographer and Abhilash Balachandran is the editor.

Plot

Balakrishnan is a famous businessman. He is married to Meera. She is a caring wife and mother. They have a son named Akshay. Akshay is a college goer and he shares a great bonding with his parents. His dad Balakrishnan is very much friendly with Akshay. Akshay shares his love story to his father. During a tiff with his girlfriend Radhika, Akshay gets a suggestion from his dad. When his life goes on smooth, there comes a situation that brings a great shock to his family.  What happened to Akshay? Watch the film in theaters!

Star Performance

Saikumar is one among the few natural actors, who could pull off any roles. He had played a lot of villain roles and when we watch his performance, he makes us feel him as the character. In Krishnam, he played the doting father and had done his best. Shanthi Krishna is perfect in the emotional scenes. Renji Panicker and the rest of the stars have played their roles well. Akshay should improve his acting skills.

Analysis

After two decades Dinesh Baboo directed a film. His previous film released in 1999. Krishnam is the life incidents of Akshay Krishnan. Although it might have sounded better in papers, it is not executed well. We couldn’t feel it as a contemporary story. Dinesh Baboo didn’t impress as a director but as a cinematographer. The visuals are cool and impressive. Hari Prasad’s music is neat.

What’s There?

  • Saikumar, Shanthi Krishna and Renji have performed well
  • The visuals are cool and the songs are captured neatly

What’s Not There?

  • The director should have concentrated on the screenplay
  • It seems to be an over-projected story

Verdict

The performance of the stars are the plus points and the script and the screenplay didn’t impress the audiences. Although it has some youthful elements, the film didn’t match much to the contemporary films that connect with the audiences. If you have no movies to watch, you could try this film.
