Yevanavan is the action crime thriller scripted and directed by Natty Kumar. The film has a huge star cast including Sonia Agarwal, Vincent Asokan, Akhil, Nayana, Sakshi Siva, Meera Krishnan, Delhi Ganesh and Anu Mohan. The film is produced by Dreams On Frames. Thendral Ramkumar pens the lyrics for the tunes of Fedo Pete. Arun Prasath cranks the camera and Rama Rao edits the film. Yevanavan is based on the cyber crimes and it comes with a social message.

The hero tapes the heroine in his mobile phone, while she takes a bath. When she warned him, he deleted it. Later, he recovered the video using some software, without the heroine’s knowledge. Once his phone gets lost, the problem starts. Who got the phone? Did they upload the video on the internet is shown in the rest of the story!

Star Performance

The artists have done their part as assigned to them

Even in the low budget movies, the songs had been shot in the parks or beaches depending upon their budget. But, this film had a poor formatting. The green mat technique had been used in the songs and it is obviously seen in the song. The editing and graphics team could have concentrated on this well. However, the artists’ selection was good. The director must have used the artists well.

What’s There?

  • The scenes in Yevanavan are engaging
  • Star cast is quite okayish
  • Music is not bad and it syncs with the script

What’s Not There?

  • Poor cinematography irritates the eyes of the viewers
  • Lip synching is missing in many places

Although the film has a lot of negative points, it has come with a message. If you want to watch the film, do visit the theaters!
