Plot

A dysfunctional satellite named Mihira has been destroying the communication system around the world. It is Dev, who designed Mihira and now, he has to solve all the issues caused by Mihira. So, Dev and a group of astronauts set on a journey to Mihira. What happens to them? Did they solve the problem and set the communication system safe? Watch it in the silver screens!

Star Performance

Varun Tej has got an excellent role to perform and Aditi too. Both of them had done well in the intense situation and make us feel as if we are with them in sorting out the communication issues created by Mihira. Although Lavanya’s screen presence is minimal, she does a great job and attracts the viewers.

Analysis

This is the first of this genre in Tollywood and Sankalp had tried to do justice to the genre he had chosen. The VFX effects are excellent and they had given a helping hand to Sankalp in accomplishing his mission. But, the fact is that the director had not explained the technical issues of Mihira, properly. If he had explained it with a proper screenplay, the people wouldn’t have questioned much. Some logical loopholes irk the audiences. When Varun was missing for a while in the space, people shocked a bit. But, the director turned it cinematic by bringing him somewhere from the space. As the screenplay is not detailed and sharp, many scenes have lost its importance. Sankalp had gone for good VFX effects, but he should have also concentrated much on the screenplay that failed to convince all.

What’s There?

  • A new attempt in space genre is appreciable
  • VFX and cinematography are excellent
  • Performance of the stars are also good

What’s Not There?

  • The screenplay is not much convincing
  • Certain scenes are cinematic and hence it loses the right essence

Verdict

If we leave the negative points and watch the film without any logic, it is a good entertainer. It is indeed a good attempt in Tollywood with this space thriller genre. As Sankalp already had some experience in The Ghazi Attack, which is not a regular genre movie, he had boldly attempted this. Antariksham is definitely watchable once for its good attempt!
