Babu Bangram can consider as a comeback for Venkatesh from his long break. The film Industry misses him in action. So the flick is a gift from him to his fans. Directed by Maruthi, this motion picture will hit the theaters on 12th August 2016.

Plot: The story starts with Nayantara in the character of Sailaja, who is a daughter of an accused criminal Sastry. As he is suspect of a murder and he is actually on the run, ACP Krishna ('Daggubati Venkatesh') gets close to the girl to get the whereabouts of her dad. He became compassionate towards the girl when he learns that she is the sole source of the bread and butter of the whole family. So, instead of arresting her father as he plans originally he decides to help her.

But things go wrong when 'Nayantara' learns about the true identity of Venkatesh. He finally came to know the truth that a local MLA Puchappa (Posani Krishna Murli) and one of his friend’s Mallesh Yadav (Sampath) who was also a mafia don had framed her father as a prime suspect in this murder. After learning this fact, his main mission is to bring justice to the family of the one he loved and win her back but will he be capable of doing so?

Analysis: Though this flick has a typical storyline, still director Maruthi had tried to create some comical scenes surrounding his main character. While it may had worked on his previous releases but the logic fails in this one. The calm and loving character of ACP Krishna may have been suitable for the dramatization if don’t blend well with comicalness.

The timing and the storyline doesn’t match with each other, as in the beginning half of the movie Venkatesh is portrayed as an easy going guy but instantly the character changed after the interval to a very grave person the transformation wasn’t smooth. Also, some comedy scenes included after that, which doesn’t make any sense at all.

Star Performances:  The lead star of the movie may be Venkatesh, but this time, the stage was stolen by the performances of his co- stars. On the first half, Prudhvi had given his stellar performance following by Bramhanandanam and Posani Krishna Murli in the second half of the cinema. His role as an MLA was remarkable, and he totally did justice with his character during the whole running time of the motion picture.

What’s there?

• First thing is the story, which looked like it was made for Venkatesh because it fits him so well • Second, the performances delivered by Prudhvi and Poshani were extraordinary and makes the movie worth watch in spite of having a very predictable script. • Another good thing about the picture was the action scenes that had filmed upon Venkatesh, which shows that he can deliver some powerful action flicks also.

What’s not there?

• The first thing that makes audience disappoint was the comedy scenes of the movie; the picture is supposed to be a comical one but as there is not one thing in the motion picture that will make you laugh. And the scenes        didn’t go well the story as they looked force in it.

• The second thing is there is no space for surprises, as the story was rather predictable.

• Also, the screenplay was bad as well.

Verdict: The movie may be a good watch over a weekend, but you will surely not regret missing it also. However, for Venkatesh’s fan, it will be an opportunity to catch him in different shades of character. You can enjoy it with your family if you can ignore the predictable story line of the movie.
