Chinnari is the dubbed version of the Kannada film “Mummy - Save Me”. Priyanka Trivedi and baby 'Yuvina Parthavi' played the lead roles. Aishwarya Shindogi, Sidlingu Sridhar and Vatsala Mohan are also in the cast. ‘H. Lohith’ directed the film. ‘K Ravikumar’ produced it. 'B. Ajaneesh Loknath' composed the music. Chinnari is a supernatural horror film

Plot:

The film starts with a pregnant woman named Priya and her six years old girl, who are moving to a new house, after the death of her husband. There they hear unusual sounds and experience something strange. What are the strange situations? How did the pregnant heroine and her little daughter overcome those dangerous situations is told in the rest of the story.

Stars Performances:

Priyanka Trivedi has shown her acting talent extremely well. Yuvina, the cute little angel, didn’t leave any stones, unturned.

Analysis:

The director Lohith has not chosen any new script. The script is a decade old story with stereotyped horror elements. However, his direction is good and also made the lead roles emote well. He has narrated the horror sequences pretty well. Although the screenplay is not up to the mark, the director gets the pass mark in making the climax a bit different and exciting.

What’s there?

Yuvina and Priyanka get appreciation for their performances

Interesting climax impresses the audiences

Excellent background score by Ajaneesh Loknath

Cinematography and the editing is good

What’s Not There?

Confusing screenplay

Stereotyped story with usual horror scenes

Predictable scenes make the people lose the interest in watching it further

Verdict:

Chinnari is a good horror film for those who are the fans of horror genre movies. But, if you think that it will be a new script, then you will be disappointed. Overall, it is a watch worthy film that will make your weekend spooky.
