Star Performances

Nagarjuna has not only produced the movie but has also appeared in a special role as a celebrity. His role is brief. Maybe he has decided to give the lion’s share to the youngsters. However, his character will be embraced by the audiences. Roshan (famous Telugu actor Srikanth is his father), who debuts with this movie, has a perfect launchpad and shines in his role. Shriya Sharma (who was seen as a child star in many Tollywood films) fits into her role well but is not quite at ease with glamour. All the supporting cast have done what is required of them.

Analysis

There are many new talents in the film including the singers, music directors and actors. This is indeed a welcoming sign. And one of the highlights of the film is that maestro A R Rahman’s son has sung for a number in the film.

Being the debut film of several artists one would expect the story to be as fresh as cucumber. However, the story is a tried and tested one. This factor could have been considered by the director Naga Koteswara Rao.

What’s there?

  • Roshan Saluri’s music is a treat to the ears. And so is his BGM.
  • The song sung by Nagarjuna is worth listening.
  • The camerawork of Vishweshwar is commendable.
  • The first half could have been executed in a better pace.
  • Production values are par excellence.

What’s not there?

  • The dialogues lack life.
  • The comedy is not appealing.

Verdict

You can watch the film if you are game for a sweet love story.
