Plot

A terrorist develops a plan of bomb blast on the High Tech Flyover if his demands are not fructified.  There is traffic jam owing to lorry accidents near the flyover.  How a simple youth, Sundip Kishan, becomes a hero and get the love of his life, Nithya Menen Born on April 8, 1988 Nithya Menen is indeed a sta >> Read More... , form the crux of the story. 

Star Performances

Sundip  Kishan slips into his role easily with his spontaneity. Nitya Menen has done a neat job, but she has limited scope to perform in the movie. Ravi Kishan’s voice is jarring in some scenes, and he shares equal screenspace with Sundip Kishan. Ali is quite convincing with his comedy. Prudhvi, Ramesh, and Tagubothu Ramesh fail to give the required humor to the film. 
Analysis

Director Rajasimha Tadinada has opted for a novel story; the entire film takes place on a flyover. That is commendable. However, the story has a thread that the heroine is always sitting on a share auto. But this may not vibe with those who are looking for routine potboilers. 

What’s there?

  •    The second half has its share of interesting scenes including the ones dealing with communal peace. 
  •     Mickey J Meyer’s music is impressive. BGM is also good. 

What’s not there?

  • The first half is not impressive.
  • The story has a lot of scope to be engrossing, but execution plays spoilsport. 
  • The screenplay doesn’t match the intensity of the plot. 
  • There could have been more intensity to the childhood love element in the movie.
  • The essence of the movie could have been handled in a better manner. 
  • Comedy element does elevate the movie further. 

Verdict

Watch Okka Ammayi Thappa at least for Sundip Kishan’s acting.
