CAST & CREW
Sahasam Swasaga Sagipo is the directorial venture of Gautham Vasudev Menon and has Naga Chaitanya and newcomer Manjima Mohan in the lead roles. Now, let’s see how this romantic adventurous flick turns out to be.
Naga Chaitanya is a carefree guy who is satisfied with his way of living. He happens to meet Manjima Mohan, who is his college-going sibling’s friend. Manjima resides in his house to continue with her career in film direction. One fine day Naga Chaitanya decides to go on a bike journey without telling anyone in his house. And Manjima joins him. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
Akkineni Naga Chaitanya has done a commendable job and is completely at comfort level with his character. Manjima Mohan has attracted the attention of the audiences in her first venture in Telugu. Baba Sehgal, Rana Daggubati, Sathish Krishnan Satyasiva and Ajay Gollapudi have also done a convincing job.
Director Gautham Vasudev Menon has managed to progress the flick in a natural manner. The second half progresses in an action thriller mode. The director surely has tried to please the audience with the narration.
• The music and BGM of A R Rahman are one of the major highlights of the movie.
• Dan Macarthur’s cinematography is appealing.
• The first half has a poetic touch to it.
What’s not there?
• The narration is at a snail pace and this acts as a hindrance for the flick.
• The songs seem to have been placed inappropriately.
With the good performances of the lead stars and able direction, the movie can be watched once, especially by youngsters.
