CAST & CREW
Soggade Chinni Nayana is Nagarjuna’s film after a long gap. He has mostly tried different things in his films, and now he has come out with a neat family entertainer. Let’s see how the film turns out to be.
Nagarjuna is an innocent person who always thinks about his profession. And this obviously upsets Lavanya Tripathi, his wife, and she takes the step of separating from her husband. For this, she seeks the help of Ramya Krishnan, her mother-in-law. And Ramya Krishnan thinks about her husband (which is also played by Nagarjuna) who has passed away. Well, I don’t want to leak the rest of the story. Watch the film to know.
Nagarjuna has crossed more than 50 films in his career, but the astonishing fact is that he still looks youthful. And in this film, he just looks stunning in Dhoti. Nag steals the show with his natural performance, and his dialogue delivery is outstanding. And for Ramya Krishnan, she has given a seasoned performance; she is convincing as both the wife and mother. Also, at this age, she still looks appealing. Lavanya Tripathi has also done her role well, but she could have worked on her dialogue delivery a bit. Nasser, Sampath Raj, Chalapathi Rao, and K Naga Babu have done what is required of them while Anushka appears in a special appearance. Though Anusuya has a brief role she does full justice to her role.
The movie revolves around a village, and this is an additional advantage to the film. And Nagarjuna has essayed double role, that of a grandfather and grandson. As for debutante director Kalyan Krishna, he deserves special mention for coming out with a neat family entertainer in his first venture itself. Kudos! Though he has done nothing different the way he has executed the movie is good. Also, family entertainers with rural backdrop will surely work in the B and C centers.
