Sabiha Khanum (Mukhtar Begum) is a very well known Pakistani actress and singer, who graced the silver screen since the 1950s. She dominated the world of Pakistani cinema over for four decades and won critical acclaim and numerous awards in the process. She got her first public exposure through a cultural delegation, as a part of which she sang a Punjabi song Kithhay Gae Yoon Pardesia way. Her performance gained attention and praise, and she gained a stage performance.

Determined, smart, and ambitious, there was no stopping her. Her acting career soared to new heights with every project. Her screen name was given to her by Nafees Khaleeli. Her first film was a Punjabi movie called Beli (1950). She also appeared in the first Urdu silver jubilee movie called Do Ansoon (1960). Her last screen appearance was in the 1994 movie Saranga. Some of the most famous works they did together include Saat lakh, Mukhra, Kaneez, Qatil and Dewar Bhabi. Sahiba has three children: Syed Ahsan Raza, Fareeha Shaharyar, and Afia Chaudhry. She lives in the USA with her daughter. Her other two children are also settled in the USA. Shakir Ali Museum and Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) recently organized a heartwarming tribute for her to commemorate her remarkable contribution to Pakistani cinema.
