Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day Teaser, Trailer & Video Songs

Alexander and The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is a family comedy film starring well-known comedian-actor Steve Carell. The film’s centered on the life of an 11-year old boy named Alexander. Alexander leads a pretty lonely life; his whole family nonchalantly discards whatever he has to say. They treat him as an expendable part of the family. His school life isn’t much happier as well, as he is unceremoniously harassed by his classmates. His life can be encapsulated in one sentence; He is Lady Luck’s whipping boy.

On the other hand, the other members of his family are flourishing in their respective fields. One day the situation turns on its head and the other members of his family get a taste of his life as they all simultaneously begin faltering in their fields of life. The chaotic routine which they all follow the next day, shown in a funny light, makes audience laugh till their sides ache. The fast-paced trailer gives you no time to catch your breath and you’re regularly bombarded with doses of situational comedy.

A feeling of smugness settles in your mind, towards the end of the trailer as you watch the whole family come together despite the hilariously rough day they have all had and the trailer manages to bolster the importance of family in our minds. The film was declared a box-office hit and was branded a ‘family entertainer’; quite unsurprising considering that Disney produced the film. The audience received the film with open armsand most of the people appreciated the director’s honest effort. The critics gave it mixed reviews, some branding it as ‘irritating’ while the others weren’t so scathing in their appraisal.
