Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked is the third installment in the Alvin and the Chipmunk series. Everyone’s beloved chipmunks are back to enthrall the audiences with their unique rendition of music and rib-tickling one-liners. The trailer of the movie is short and eye-catching. It follows the Chipmunks’ and the Chipettes’ adventures as they manage to whip up trouble on a ship this time around. It has generous doses of humor to attain a universal appeal. The fans of the series are glad to see that their favorite character Alvin, is still up to no good and is still carrying out his mischievous machinations.
The film’s trailer is backed by fast-paced music which manages to keep the viewers engaged and entertained. The trailer is edited in a way so that quirky dialogues are placed at crucial moments. Even though the trailer looks compelling, the film failed to recreate the franchise’s magic at the box office. Some of the critics branded the film as ‘childish’ and deemed it as being suitable for only a very young audience.
