Gavin Hood took real courage to direct the World’s bestselling book Ender’s Games into a movie, and he succeeded in making it spectacular. The graphics are extraordinary and the spaceships, weapons look very realistic. An alien attack has destroyed millions of human lives in the future in a very brutal manner. Humans plan to retaliate in a possibly unique way because the aliens already know their past strategies. They plan to prepare a new kind of soldier who thinks out of the box, is fearless and is not expected by the enemy. Hence they start training children. They plan to make Ender the finest commander they have ever trained. Ender pledges to do everything he can to win the war. It is shown how hard he works and plans to defeat the alien enemy. Ender implements many strategies so as to hit the enemy alien battleships hard.
The movie is based on a futuristic dystopian. After having a hard blow from an alien attack that devastated the human life, Colonel Graff and international military are in search of a future leader who can save humans. Cadet Andrew Ender Wiggins impresses the Colonel with his strategically intelligent mind. Graff tests Ender and after he is satisfied with the result, takes him to battle school and provides him special treatment. Ender gets used to the training games and the ambience and starts creating his own strategies. Ender gets promoted by Graff and has to undergo intensive training. Ender is placed for a final test, a simulation where he has to control a fleet against the alien army. His plans turn victorious as the aliens are completely destroyed. But he is shown that everything was real and he indeed erased the aliens. Ender feels sorry for the violence that he has led to and goes off into far space along with the one remaining alien egg.
The critics felt that the movie wasn’t as thought-provoking as the book, but it was good enough. The film obtained mixed reviews both from the critics and the audience. This mind-blowing trailer has received 3,709,471 views on ‘’Movieclips Trailers’’ page. The music by Steve Jablonsky takes the viewer to a surreal world.
