Pixels Teaser, Trailer & Video Songs
Pixels is a 2015 action/comedy movie. The premise of the movie is that the earth is under attack by aliens, who are using our beloved video games as weapons of mass-destruction. The aliens plan to attack the planet after misinterpreting the videos of the vintage arcade games as a sign of war. The movie incorporates famous games from the 80s like the Pac-Man, Centipede, and Donkey Kong. The lives of all the people are in the hands of a special squad of arcade gamers working along with the Navy SEALs to defeat the aliens.
The scene about the guy, proposing to a background of Arkanoid paddles destroying the Taj Mahal, is hilarious. It is also when the aliens state their purpose and throw down the gauntlet for battle. If the aliens were to win three rounds, they threatened to annihilate the earth. The movie has an intriguing concept; that offers the potential to be special. The animations and graphics are spectacular, and the fight sequences are thrilling. The major issue in the film, is the shaky storyline and some flat acting.
Though it has notable stars like Adam Sandler, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad and Kevin James, the actors try too hard to be funny and miss the mark. While the idea is for an older audience to invoke nostalgia, it only offers a weak entertainment.
