The Fifth Estate Trailers,Teasers, Video & Songs
Many may or may not know the controversies surrounding the Wikileaks and its founder Julian Assange, an internet activist. The movie ‘The Fifth Estate’ is a thriller film based around Wikileaks with Benedict Cumberbatch playing the role of Assange. The Trailers opens with people viewing the release of the afghan war logs. This causes a pandemic among the people, especially the American government who are trying to save face after the video gained publicity. The trailer switches between the lectures and presentations conducted by Assange with some of the exploits in bringing down corrupt organizations to answer for their crimes.
But soon a rift occurs between Assange and Daniel due to difference in opinions. The movie received criticism from Assange himself on its integrity. Cumberbatch had reached out to Assange for some tips and his views on the incidents. Assange considered the movie as a massive propaganda to ruin his credibility and standing but thanked Cumberbatch in trying to improve the script. The critics’ reviews were also not welcoming and considered the story to be dull, awkward, and a murky representation of the facts.
