Aakrosh Teaser, Trailer & Video Songs

Aakrosh is a Bollywood film belonging to the thriller genre. It has a strong cast of actors like Ajay Devgn, Akshaye Khanna, Paresh Rawal and BipashaBasu. The film deals with the very sensitive and controversial topic of honour killing. In the trailer itself it posts bold questions like ‘whether India has yet achieved freedom from its mind-numbing beliefs?’ It furnishes stats to prove that honour killings have increased in number after India’s independence.

It weaves a story around this basic framework where Pratap (Ajay) and Siddhant (Akshaye) are two CBI officers sent to a village in UP to investigate a case of honor killing, which they find to be extremely difficult to solve as the local police force is corrupt to the core and ally with the politicians in the area, also the villagers condemn the investigations, making matters worse for the two investigative officers. Just when they had lost all hope, help comes their way from an unlikely source…

The film was a huge disappointment at the box-office with crowds plausibly shying away from watching such a controversial film. It did not even manage to recuperate half of its 40 crore budget. The film however was met with a raucous critical reception with praise showered on the director, Priyadarshan and the actors.
