was a story set against the backdrop of the Indian folklore and hardships in rural India and its consequences. The show was aired by NDTV Imagine from January 2010 to July 16, 2010. Chaitipur village had faced drought for long and then the situation worsened; the families did not have anything to eat. In the midst of this calamity, all they needed was a miracle. It rained one day and they saw a small girl named Laxmi (played by Dipika Samson), lying in the temple and was abandoned by her father due to poverty.
This coincidence adds to the disbelief of the villagers and they started to consider Laxmi as the reincarnation of Goddess. The extra care, privilege, honor and respect took away a normal childhood from Laxmi.
