Pragati is a story about a girl who despite of all the difficulties and the opposition is determined to get educated. It not only focuses on girls’ education but also shows other issues like injustice, drug addiction, corruption, nepotism, lack of toilets for women and how one can fight against them. The show does not show more of humor or romance, but the beauty, lifestyle, culture, music of Rajasthan keep viewers’ interest.

It shows how in Dhularaoji, still all old practices and traditions are followed and anyone going against it, get strict punishments. Girls are not allowed to study, roam alone and even talk to males. In this environment, a girl Pragati is born who is strong and is determined to change these practices and study. Her all efforts are stopped by her grandmother and village sarpanch.

This show’s objective is to display how gender discrimination is affecting our society. It also makes the audience aware about malpractices in some villages which are still prevailing. It is interesting to see how Pragati fights the world to reach her aim and all the difficulties that come her way. Also, it is very motivating for others including those watching this show. Pragati appears to be a fighter and a very inspiring person.
