Rock On with MTV is a reality music hunt show presented by Kurkure Desi Beats. It was the making of an all new Indian Desi Band. Rock On with MTV was an all new opportunity for all music lovers especially those who till now have not got chance to expose their talent. One gets to participate and showcases their talent to the whole country. The show is a sort of contest amongst all those who willing to put forward their talent. Anybody who has a musical talent could audition for it. Rock on with MTV offered a platform for all the youngsters who could sing or play an instrument.

If someone lacked a band in spite of talent, this show gave them the chance to come out in the open, form a group, and win this show. The competition was based on one's skill, talent, and the 'Desi Quotient'. Anybody who could come up with these aspects and put up incredible performances would win. The then general manager of MTV said that through this show, MTV was combining two of its biggest strengths. It knew what will be the next big thing to come up. They used this to bring this new realistic approach for the mass. MTV claimed to create this new era in music through this show and to launch and showcase something that will redefine music in India.

The contest offered a great chance for a number of youngsters to present them on a grand scale. After a lot of struggle, band Saadhak was announced as the winner of MTV Kurkure Rock On. It included Naitik on percussions, Raj on bass, Willi on vocals, Sachin G on violin, Nirdosh on guitars, and Tonmoy on drums. Other two bands that reached the finals were Khilagh and Dhairya. On the final day, the three bands had to play original tracks in order to win. They were joined by Euphoria. The show which started with 50 participants from 4 different cities ended on 21st November.
