The show is telecasted in the Tamil Language. The show brings you the talented kids of the age group six to thirteen years old in Tamil Nadu. The Sun Singer Season 4 broadcasted from 11 January 2015 to 24 January 2016.

The presenters of the show were Nakshathra and Muthu, and it was telecasted on Sun TV. The show is aired at 11:00 am on Sundays. The show is sponsored by Cadbury Oreo and co-sponsored by VCare, Vasanth & Co and GRB Udhayam Ghee. The competition is tough and the talented young singers are chosen as contestants after a series of rounds. The eminent judges play a crucial role in selecting the participants. In the first round, open auditions are conducted across the cities in Tamil Nadu. The contestants sing a song or two in front of the judges and are selected based on their performances.

They are selected on the spot for the next round and can also be kept in the waiting list. Since the show is sponsored by Cadbury Oreo, the contestants are given chocolates or chocolate biscuits to encourage them for performing better. After this round, the final auditions are conducted to select the finalists amongst the entire group. The contestants again perform in front of the jury and get selected on the spot if the judges find them talented and capable enough to go ahead in the competition. They again receive chocolate or chocolate biscuits to boost up their energy. The grand finale took place on 10th January 2016.

The Grand Finale was witnessed by many guest celebrities. The winner of the fifth season was Praniti followed by Bhavin and Rakthaksh as first and second runner-up respectively. The show gave a platform to the youngsters to showcase their talents and achieve name and fame for their talent. It also helped them learn and grow better. Also, it brought great entertainment to the viewers and was highly liked by them.
