Gopaljee is a comedy series telecasted on Doordarshan. Gopaljee is a miser and a heartthrob of a man. He owns a travel company where her assistant Julie works. Julie and Goplajee had an affair. Goplajee has two children Saraswati and Raju. Saraswati studies in college, and Raju studies in school. Just like his father, Raju is also a miser and wants to save everything from going to waste. Goplajee had a servant named Nainshukh who is a blind man. His wife Rukmani scolds Goplajee always. She has a dominant personality. Gopaljee is a hen-pecked husband who follows the orders of his wife.
On the other hand, is Gopaljee’s enemy, Retired major Jagannath. Both the families had a rivalry. Col. has three children Sanjay, Sahil, and Soni. Sanjay has joined the military just like his father. Major wants Sahil to join the military, but Sahil doesn’t want to. So, he fails in college so that he can remain there. Sahil has failed six times consecutively. Soni (Sahil’s younger sister) and Sahil are now in the same class. Sahil has a love interest, i.e., Saraswati (Goplajee’s daughter). How will both the families cope up with the relationship of Sahil and Saraswati? Forms the storyline.
