India’s Most Wanted was a reality tv show aired on DD National. It was a crime-busting tv show that aired in 1999. Originally the show was aired on Zee TV. Later the show was acquired by Doordarshan and aired on DD National. Each episode was 45 to 50 minutes long. The show wasn't only a crime show made for entertainment but the show helped police catch some most wanted real-life criminals. The show was hosted by Suhaib Ilyasi. He also directed the show. The slogan of the show was India's fight back.
In each episode of the show, the host shows the story of a few most wanted criminals and it was then revealed where the criminals were. Some of these criminals were caught with the help of the host and the way the show was presented. In some of the episodes, the program showed live telecasts of criminals being caught. The show helped police to catch more than 130 real-life criminals. It was a 56 episode show in its two-season run.
At first, he started the show by showing the pictures of some fugitives, who were most wanted by the police and then told the things related to these criminals. The show was a hit among the viewers. Later in 2005 host, Suhaib started the show on News channel NDTV.Â
