Jai Mahalaxmi is a devotional serial that premiered in 2000 on DD National. The serial focuses on the various aspects of the Goddess Laxmi's life. Laxmi is revered as the Goddess of Wealth in Hinduism; the serial presents the exceptional stories from her life that trace her life journey. Jai Mahalaxmi also shows Tirupati, Balaji, and Padmavati for the first time on the national television. The story begins when Bhrigu Rishi is tasked of finding the supreme among the trinity, Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh, who also has the three virtues known as Trigun. In an attempt to test Lord Vishnu, Bhrigu Rishi insults him by purposely kicking the Lord's chest.
