Akka is a Tamil soap opera serial that was aired on Jaya TV. It was broadcasted in the year 2014 from Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm and had a total of 143 episodes each of 22 minutes duration. The story revolves around Manimegalai, a girl who lives in the village and decides to start looking out for her long lost sisters. The serial begins on depicting over the childhood life of Manimegalai and her three sisters. She leads a contented life in her village with her parents and sisters, and she belongs to a wealthy family.
Since childhood, there is a great bond between the two sisters, and they are fond of each other. Under some unfortunate circumstances, the family loses their two daughters due to some misunderstandings and becomes more desperate as years went by. Manimegalai decides to reunite her family with her sisters. As the serial progress, it depicts Manimegalai’s effort on convincing her sisters.
