Nithya Das is a Malayalam and Tamil film and television actress who was born on May 22, 1981 in Calicut, Kerala, India. The couple met in the year 2005 while she was travelling to Chennai and Arvind worked as a flight crew in the Indian Airlines. They have been blessed with one daughter whose name is Naina.

In 2003, she appeared as Devaki in the major hit film, Balettan. This film was a box office hit. She also did the films Choonda and Varum Varunnu Vannu in the same year.

In 2004, Nithya did the film Freedom and Maratha Naadu. She appeared as Gopinathan’s lover in the Malayalam film, Kathavasheshan. Then in 2005, she did the films Kalyana Kurimanam, Cholliyattam, and Kalyana Kurimanam. Later in 2006, she was one of the lead stars in the Tamil drama film, Manathodu Mazhaikalam. She played the role of Sathya, Siva’s (played by Shaam) good friend. In 2007, Nithya appeared as Poonkodi in the film, Nagaram and in a horror film, Soorya Kireedam.

Nithya also performed in television serials such as Sree Ayappanum Vavarum on Surya TV, Indhraneelam on Asianet and Edhayam on Sun TV channel.

Nithya Das once again got another opportunity to act in the Tamil film, Pachai Kudai in 2012. The film was directed by Selvaraj R. This is a story of the sages and the saints who have resided in the country for over 2,000 years ago.
