Sundari Subbarao is a Telugu language TV serial that aired on the channel ETV Plus from Thursday to Saturday at 7:30 pm for half an hour. It is the story of two people, Sundari and Subbarao, who get married according to their parents’ wishes. The serial opens with Sundari and Subbarao with a fake backdrop. They engage in a funny lovers spat before the serial title appears. Sundari is the daughter of Bhale Rao, a veterinary doctor. From childhood, her mother taught her to be greedy and not to use money too much. Subbarao is the son of Demit Rao. Subbarao is in search of a job but fails in many interviews. Bhale Rao and Demit Rao were friends in the past.
They arrange for their children to get married. Sundari’s mother tells her that mothers-in-law usually torture daughters-in-law and suggest her different ways to win against her. After Subbarao and Sundari get married, Sundari and her mother-in-law, Garuda Vardini, engage in back-to-back bickering and fighting. The only time they get along is when money is at stake. They constantly pull pranks on each other, taunt each other, and make each other’s lives living hell. When Sundari’s mother comes to visit, Subbarao receives her with hospitality, but Garuda Vardini doesn’t. The rest of the serial revolves around Sundari and Garuda Vardini’s attempt to ruin each other and how they get over it.
