Liam Garrigan is an English actor known for Strike Back, Holby City, 24: Live Another Day and movies The Legend of Hercules, Transformers: The Last, and Cherry.

Liam Thomas Garrigan was born on October 17, 1981, in Kingston upon Hull, England, to parents Liz Garrigan and Brian Garrigan. He is the oldest among three of his siblings. He exchanged wedding vows with Beth Rowley, an English singer and songwriter, in 2017.

When Liam was relatively young, his mother trained him at musical theater classes. It was then itself that he played a part in The Wizard of Oz, a production of Northern Theatre. When he attained seven years of age, he trained under Richard Green, founded Northern Theatre.

Garrigan schooled at Endsleigh Primary School and St Mary’s. Later, he pursued theatre studies, literature, and history at Wyke Sixth Form College. Simultaneously, he participated in plays at the Northern Theatre and the Edinburgh Festival. While pursuing college, he was also attending classes at Northern Stage Company.

While at college, Garrigan auditioned for drama school and got admission in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama to become a professional actor. Liam forayed into television with Holby City, a 2003 BBC dramatic series, where he portrays Nic Yorke

The following year he appeared as Ben Rose in the episode titled Sons, Daughters, and Lovers of the British television anthology series, aired on BBC One. The same year he featured in Doctors, a medical soap opera telecast on BBC One, where portraying Scott Renshaw in the episode Gap Year.

The successful show has bagged a slew of awards at The British Soap Awards like Best Single Episode, Best Storyline, Best Female Dramatic Performance, Scene of the Year, et al.

Among his notable works is the action adventure television series Strike Back, where he portrays Sgt. Liam Baxter. The show tracks the adventures of a unit of the British Military Intelligence, who hunt for the Al Qaeda terrorist involved in a slew of crimes.

The series won accolades and secured six nods at the national Television Academy, Primetime Emmy Awards, Irish Film & Television Awards, et al. It bagged the Best Audio on TV Drama of the Year at the UK Screen Association Conch Award in 2012. The series secured the title for Best Special Effects by the Royal Television Society.

His other movie projects include the 3D fantasy film The Legend of Hercules, a 2014 American film, where he essays the role of Iphicles.
