Kevil Kline is an American stage and film actor. He is also a comedian and a singer. Kline was born on October 24, 1947, in St Louis, Missouri. Kevin holds two Tony Awards, the American Theater Hall of Fame title and an Academy Award. Kevin’s father was an Opera singer and a music lover. His father also owned a record bar named The Record Bar. He completed his graduation from the Saint Louis Priory School in 1956. He later went to Indiana University at Bloomington for studying conducting and composing music. He attended Julliard School from 1970 – 1972, where he studied drama. Kevin started his career as a stage actor. He started working with The Acting Company in the year 1972. He was offered a scholarship to the Drama Division at Julliard School in 1972. He worked in Broadway musicals and even received two Tony awards for his work in the Broadway musicals. He appeared in a lot of Shakespearean works. He won the Best Featured Actor in a Musical award for his performance in the production of On the Twentieth Century. Later in 1981, he again won the Best Actor in a Musical for his performance in the revival of The Pirates of Penzance. He first appeared on the big screen in the year 1982. He was cast opposite Mery Streep in the movie Sophie’s Choice. Kevin was also nominated for a Golden Globe award for his performance in this movie.

Later in 1983, he appeared in the movie, The Big Chill. He showcased his light–hearted side in the movie I Love You to Death. In 1993, he appeared in Dave, where he portrayed the role of a president’s look alike. He also did some comedy movies during the 90s. Some of which are; The French Kiss, which was a romantic comedy and In and Out, where he played the role of a high school teacher. He even played the role of a cancer victim the family drama Life as a House. His role of Otto, an inept criminal in the movie A Fish Called Wanda won him many awards. Later in 2003, he even won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actor in a Play for his performance in Henry IV’s production. Apart from all these achievements, Kline also got nominated for two BAFTA Awards, five Golden Globe Awards and an Emmy Award.
