English Producer Dmitry Rudovsky

Dmitriy Rudovskiy is a well-known and recognized Russian film and TV producer. He is a co-founder of the Art Pictures Group company as well as a director and journalist. He was born on December 4, 1962. He was born in Moscow, Russia. He graduated from Maurice Thorez Moscow State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages in 1968 and did the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Film Directors (Andrey Torstensen and Oleg Korvaykov’s Workshop).

In the subsequent years, Dmitriy held various positions in media and TV production - he worked as an editor of the Main Department of Foreign Affairs, USSR Radio, and Television; he was also director of the program "Club kinoputeshestvennikov" (Cinematravelers Club); as well as director of RGTRK "Ostankino" which is Studio of popular scientific and educational programs and various others. Dmitriy along with his partner Fedor Bondarchuk became the co-founder of the reorganized Art Pictures Group company.

Within Art Pictures Group Dmitry Rudovsky also founded the distribution company Art Pictures Media in 2009 which deals with theatrical, DVD distribution, and television of Art Pictures Group films. Art Pictures Group has released several successful projects and now their main area of the company practice is distribution and TV-series production as well as film. Dmitriy Rudovskiy's projects received a lot of awards. For instance, the animated movie Christmas Tree was awarded the Grand Prix of the National Festival of Visual Arts in 2006 "for the development of Russia's new animated children's hero image", as well as the award for "The best characters in children's animated films" at The International Festival of Children's Animated Films. In 2008 Dilogy Inhabited Island produced by Art Pictures Group became the most discussed and popular premieres of 2009. In 2009 this Movie earned $30 million and took third position in the total box office of CIS area.

The horror movie "Phobos. Club of Fear" in 2010 was given the title of the best domestic film in the horror genre. More films produced by Dmitry Rudovskiy are the "Window to Europe" XIX Film Festival in Vyborg Audience Choice Award winner movie 2 days by Dunya Smirnova; one of the most successful films of 2012 which is a psychological drama named Dukhless by Roman Prygunov and in 2013 the definite leader of Russian box office was a war drama "Stalingrad" which is directed by Fedor Bondarchuk. Rudovskiy's other projects are the production of the Savva and cartoons Baba Yaga and also the release of the following films: Yes & Yes by Valeria G. Germanica; Queen of Spades by Pavel Lungin; Death’s Battalion by Dmitriy Meskhiev and Downshifter by Roman Prygunov which is a sequel of Dukhless.
