Catherine Roseanne Dennis is a singer, songwriter, record producer cum actress from Great Britain. She is an expert in pop, house, and dance genres. Dennis received her education from Taverham High School. In 1986, at the age of 17, Simon Fuller signed her to his management firm and the label Polydor, launching a long relationship with the impresario that saw Catherine writing songs for many of Fuller's projects.

Catherine received her first success as a vocalist with D Mob when their single "C'mon and get My Love" reached no. 16 in the UK Singles Chart and no.10 in in the Billboard Hot 100 in 1989. Then "That's the way of the world" became a smash, and Catherine's debut album, Move to This, was released. She then made three solo hits that got the UK Top 20 and the US top 10 lists. She also achieved a decent amount of success in Japan as well in the early 1990s. She also agreed to be a part of Club MTV's first tour booked for 6 weeks, but she eventually dropped out on the third day and later publicly accused one of the members of sexual harassment. 

Catherine released her second album, Into the skyline, in September 1992, which had a focus on the US market.  Catherine recorded both her second and third albums. In 1996 she changed her musical style from a dance-pop soundtrack to a more traditional singer approach. In 2001, Kylie Minogue She was dubbed the “Pop Princess” before Britney S >> Read More... gave a worldwide hit with the song penned by Catherine, and Rob Davis called "Can't get you out of my head." Catherine was also awarded the Grammy for Best Dance Recording for her writing "Come into MY Heart," followed by Britney Spears's hit song "toxic," which was also honored by the same award.

Catherine gave a series of hits with S Club 7. She also penned the fastest-selling debut single in UK's history for Will Young, the recording artist, the theme song for American Idol, and the movie As Good as it Gets.  In 2019, Catherine returned to performing and celebrated her 30th anniversary in the music business by performing at London's Mighty Hoopla Festival. She also wrote many hits for the pop sensation Now United and worked on the soundtrack for the BBC/Discovery series Serengeti.
