Douglas Petrie is an American screenwriter, director, and producer whose work incorporates Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel scenes and funnies. Petrie started his vocation in TV in the mid1990s as an author on the Melissa Joan Hart-featuring tween satire “Clarissa Explains It All.”He filled in as a co-leader maker and essayist for two seasons on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and as a counseling maker and author on the second period of Pushing Daisies. Petrie appeared on Joss Whedon's online film, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, as “Professor Normal.”
